Born during the Heian period of Japan, Kintoki lifted the spirits of others with his compasion and kindness; But do not be fooled by his compasion, as he has the blood of the Yokai and is a descendant of the primordial god Gǫllnir. Kintoki has a couple titles fitting for him like the "Most Beloved Man in Human History" and "Kind-Hearted Monster".
Odin
Odin is one of the 13 original fighters for the gods. Odin was chosen to be the fighter for Ragnarok's 12th round against Kintoki. Leader of the Norse Pantheon, Odin was known as the "Supreme Norse God". Odin was once a lesser god known as "Velk" and was a member of the People of Gǫllnir, a group of descendants of disciples of Gǫllnir. Velk wanted to spread knowledge of the history of the world, but accidently led the last three remaining primordial gods to his village; Who then erased the existence of the People of Gǫllnir. Velk was left as the sole survivor of this tragedy and when he tried to spread word about his peoples demise, he was shutdown with no one believing him. Out of hatred for the gods who didn't believe him, Velk declared himself a "Nameless God" and sought to destroy all of existence. One day Velk stumbled upon one of the Four Treasures of Calamity, "Gram" a magic sword that belonged to the Primordial god Odin. Velk was compatible with Gram and recieved the knowledge and power of Gram, and took on Odin's name.
About Shuumatsu No Valkyrie and it's Creators
Shuumatsu No Valkyrie (Also known as "Record of Ragnarok") was written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Azychika. These two mangakas created Shuumatsu No Valkyrie, a story about Humanity fighting in a tournament against the gods called "Ragnarok". The leader/chairman of the gods of this universe, "Zeus" and the council of gods decided that the humans should be killed off and were about to finalize their decision. Until one of the 13 valkyries, "Brunhilde" stepped into the meeting and proposed the idea of this tournament, which was agreed upon by the gods by Brunhilde's tactic of egging on the gods, saying they were "scared of humanity". There are 13 rounds of Ragnarok with the winner of 7 rounds being decided as the winner, and if the humans won, humanity will be saved. While the reasoning for Brunhilde's defending of the humans with Ragnarok is mostly unknown, recent chapters are starting to slowly reveal the reasoning.
